Smartraveller

The Australian High Commission in Suva provides consular services to Australians facing serious difficulties overseas in line with the Consular Services Charter. This includes:
- assisting Australian citizens in difficult situations overseas, including serious injury, illness or death, and arrest and detention.
- providing support during crises and international emergencies.
- delivering information and advice to help Australians help themselves and avoid difficulties overseas.
- issuing passports and travel documents to Australian citizens.
- offering a limited range of notarial services, such as witnessing and legalising documents and administering oaths and affirmations (fees apply).
Before you book your travel, check visa and entry requirements and security regulations as applicable to your circumstances
It is your responsibility to ensure you meet the requirements of the airline or vessel operator you are travelling with and of countries you are travelling to or transiting through.
You are responsible for checking requirements applicable to your circumstances regarding visas, entry permits and exemptions, as well as insurance to cover your specific travel, condition and circumstances.
If you need information or assistance, please contact your airline, cruise line, travel provider or employer and the relevant authorities in Australia and Fiji directly.
Australian or foreign Fijian visa matters
The Australian High Commission cannot assist with matters relating to foreign or Australian visas, citizenship or residency matters. This includes citizenship by decent, spousal visas, or checking any application lodged with the Australian Department of Home Affairs.
