Australian Author Has Fiji Book Launch
30 July 2009
The latest novel by Fiji-based Australian award-winning writer, Kaaron Warren, was launched in Suva last night by Australian High Commissioner James Batley.
Ms Warren has been writing stories since she was seven years old and has published over sixty short stories and two short story collections.
Her latest novel, Slights, is currently in print with Angry Robot Books, an imprint of the Harper Collins publishing company. Angry Robot Books specialises in Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror and genre-busting books.
Slights will be officially launched in Montreal at the World Science Fiction Convention on August 7. It will be available from the USP Bookshop.
Ms Warren has written two other novels, Mistification, and Walking the Tree.
Walking the Tree, which is in the editing stages, was written by Ms Warren during her stay in Fiji. Influenced by her living on Viti Levu and her fascination with the ebb and flow of the tides, Walking the Tree is about an enormous tree which dominates a large island. Both novels will also be published by Angry Robot Books.
